Policies,Terms and Conditions (Updated January 1, 2025, 📌January 17, 2025 Welcome and thank you for booking your hair care reservation with Hair by Shawn Marie (Multi-state Licensed Cosmetologist). HBSM is proud to offer a professional, safe, clean, relaxing & welcoming environment. Prior to booking your reservation, there are a few things I would like to mention in an effort to make your salon experience as seamless as possible. ~ Booking Procedures ~ My menu is A’ la carte. Please ensure you read the detailed service descriptions & select accordingly. You are required to book a “Cleanse & Style” service first, then proceed to “Select a Category” to add on your cut, color, protein treatment etc. If you are unsure of what service(s) to select, please tap the “Contact’ link to submit any questions you may have. All reservations must be booked online. Please do not email or text reservation requests as they will not be honored. The booking website is accurate. If any cancellations/rescheduling occurs, the website will update in real-time. If the website is not showing availability, that particular day and/or time is either unavailable or the service(s) requested exceeds the time allotted on website. If your preferred day & time is unavailable, please check the website periodically, join the Waitlist or book a V.I.P Reservation. 📌 If you have booked your reservation in less than 72 hours of your salon visit, the system will not generate a reminder/confirmation text or email, therefore, please confirm your reservation immediately after booking or it will be cancelled by 5pm EST the day of booking. To confirm, view your email or text that was sent at time of booking and tap the “Manage My Appointment “ link. Book all services needed, you may not be able to add services during your salon visit due to time constraints. Reservations are time based. I expect to perform all the services that you booked & confirmed. Please read all of your notification emails & text messages. You will find pertinent information & links to manage your reservation (i.e. confirm, cancel, reschedule and view previous, current & future reservations). ~ Preparing For Your Salon Visit ~ Please throughly detangle & comb out hair from roots to ends prior to arrival or book the appropriate “Removal Service” in the “Select Category” section. Arrive completely free of any style you were recently wearing. This means completely remove the style & comb it out from roots to ends. There should not be braid knots at roots, braids, twist, ponytail, knotted/matted & shedded hair remaining in your hair. Guest who have not throughly detangled hair from roots to ends will be charged an additional $50 or may be asked to reschedule. ~ Payment Methods ~ Cash, all major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay & HBSM gift cards are accepted methods of payment. All debit/credit card & NFC mobile payments will incur a 3.5% convenience fee. App to app based payment services such as Cash App, Venmo, PayPal etc., are not accepted methods of payment. ~ Price Points, Deposits, Pre Payments & Cancellation Fees ~ Price points are starting prices. Prices are subject to increase due to lengthy, dense/thick hair and the complexity of color services. The price increase is due to the additional product & time required. Some services & reservations require a deposit or pre-payment. Deposits, pre-payments & cancellation fees are due at time of booking & are non-refundable & non-transferable to future reservations, services or persons. Deposits goes toward your service. Balance is due at checkout. ~ No Refund Policy ~ While I strive to ensure all guests are satisfied with their salon experience, I understand that may not always be the case. If you’re dissatisfied with your service, I will do everything in my power to correct the issue before you leave the salon or within 24 hours of your salon visit. All retail sales are final sale and are non-refundable. ~ Service Policies ~ HBSM reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime. HBSM reserves the right to amend prices, services, terms & conditions & policies without prior notice. Limited seating. No children or additional guest. Must be 16 years of age to receive service. Publicity Waiver Release Notice: HBSM may use the likeness of guests for advertising & promotional purposes. Guests must adhere to the Salon General Policies & Health & Safety Policy (posted in salon). Professional hair care products, tools & equipment are used at HBSM. Products, tools & equipment are not purchased from Korean beauty suppliers. HBSM maintains compliance with all applicable federal & state laws & regulations. Cancellation Policy
By checking the box & booking your reservation, you are acknowledging that you have read & agreed to both the cancellation policy and the “About” section that discloses HBSM Terms, Conditions & Policies.
Reservations not confirmed within 22 hours of your salon visit will be cancelled.
If you have booked your reservation in less than 72 hours of your salon visit, the system will not generate a reminder/confirmation text or email, therefore, please confirm your reservation immediately after booking or it will be cancelled by 5PM EST the day of booking. To do so, view your email or text that were sent at time of booking and tap the “Manage My Appointment” link.
Your reservation is very important to HBSM. Your reserved time is especially for you. I understand circumstances may change, therefore, I respectfully request at least 22 hours notice for cancellations.
Please understand that when you do not cancel within the 22 hour cancellation window, I miss the opportunity to fill that time slot. You will receive guest notification emails & text messages at time of booking as well as 24 & 72 hours prior to your salon visit.
Continuous cancellations & continuous rescheduling will require pre-payment to book future reservations. Last minute cancellations, same day of reservation cancellations & no shows will be charged at 100% of both the initial reservation service amount and the new reservation service amount. Both must be paid in full at time of booking. Failure to adhere to cancellation policy will result in your reservation being cancelled and you will be prohibited from booking future hair care reservations.
